Sakurai: For me, it’s probably the face. It’s not like if she’s a beauty or something like that, but because I believe a person’s nature/personality comes out in her face and facial expressions.

S: I agree that the way of speaking is really important. Even if it’s not prim and proper, I would prefer a person with pretty/neat Japanese. A person who can properly say “Thanks” and “I’m sorry.”

M: The remarks of our parents’ generation. (laughs)

S: Okay, that’s true (laughs). But, me, I might not like a disorderly person. I don’t like stuff like shutting the door with their feet.

M: But if we’re going to be together for a long time, I’d like for them to have a side like that. After we’re married, I wouldn’t ask them to do that if I were also at home though.

S: Me too. But it’s because I can’t do any of that stuff (laughs). But, I’m okay if they can’t do all that. We can talk/compromise by just sending out stuff to the cleaners (laundry service) or eating out, right. As for cleaning the house… I’ll do it! (laughs)
